Nordic Skiers - the 17th of November is the first mandatory practice for our season.

ALL PAPERWORK must be completed including your SPORTS PHYSICAL or SPORTS SCREENING. If you do not have your paperwork, you will not be on the team. If you forsee a problem meeting this deadline (scheduled physical after the 17th, etc.) and will not have all your paperwork, see me ASAP. Do not wait until the 17th to show up and tell me you want to be on the team but do not have your paperwork. I am busy this year and down in coaching staff and will be taking care of all paperwork at the start of the season. Do not procrastinate!

For now, plan on meeting in the Technology Lab at 2:45 PM dressed and prepared for a cardio + strength workout. Warm running clothes (sport pants + shirt, gloves, hat, running shoes) and H20 bottle. We will discuss ski equipment checkout day at this practice.

All nordic athletes are expected to attend practices. If you are not able to attend a practice, you need to notify Coach Halvorsen. Everyone needs to check-in with the team each day at 3:15 PM. That includes Auburn Ski Club Development and Competition Team team members except for their scheduled Club practice days. (Devo and Comp Team athletes are excused to practice during their official team practice times without needing to notify Coach Halvorsen). Skiers who do not practice will not race. Warm-up before hand if you can but be at the map outside the center ON TIME. Practice is not over until 4:30 PM. Wear your Team Jacket to practice EVERY day so TD staff know who we are and so we can keep track of each other more easily.

BAD WEATHER INFO: Also, if the weather is bad, do not assume practice is cancelled. Check the truckeenordic.org web site for updates or for last minute checks, see Coach Halvorsen. If practice is cancelled due to bad weather, he will post a flyer on the outside of the tech lab door. (That is also where you can find him after lunch if he is on campus.)
SNOW DAYS: There are no Official Practices (or Races) on School-designated Snow Days.

NOTES:

When practicing at Tahoe Donner, change into your ski clothes at school. Do not use the bathrooms at TD! Also, all your gear, etc. needs to be stored in our team locker and you need to not walk through the cafe/store area.

You need to have your SKI PASSES with you at each practice!!!
